Having the right humidity level is not only essential for human, animal and plant life or well-being, but also for the integrity of many products as well as for smooth industrial processes. The relatively high humidity level we need for life makes metals corrode, new products age faster, technical equipment and systems more prone to breakdowns. Desiccants from HYYON regulate the moisture forming in products, primary and secondary packaging as well as in many other applications.
THE FLEXIBLE ONE
Our silica gel is produced in granular and beaded forms and is available in small-porous or wide-porous version. It is used in the (petro) chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries as well as in the end consumer sector, for static and dynamic dehumidification or as a catalyst carrier.
In beaded shape, silica gel is particularly suitable for dynamic adsorption processes because of its high abrasion resistance, low pressure drop and high crushing strength. Wide-porous silica gel can adsorb approximately 90 to 100% of its own weight in water.
As a result of our own screening processes, grain size can vary and therefore be adjusted to suit customer requirements and intended applications. Finer grain size is the preferred option for protecting pharmaceutical products or dietary supplements against humidity, while the coarser one is used for drying industrial or natural gases.
our silica gel from HYYON is typically subject to special quality checks, is dedusted and free from metallic impurities. our silica gel is available in 25 kg bags, cartons, 150 kg steel drums and big bags of up to 1000 kg.
APPLICATION RANGE
Static drying Wet-proof packaging:
precision instruments/ electrical appliances, food, pharmaceuticals, shoes, clothing, leather, weapons/ ammunition, camera/ photosensitive materials, and telegraph equipment.
Dynamic drying Air drying:
the warehouse, the ship is used as a drying agent, a silica gel bin of a moisture-proof agent, a pharmaceutical factory, a precision machine, an electronic equipment manufacturer, and the like, and a place where the compressed air and the instrument air are dried is needed. Dehydration and refining of industrial gas: hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, chlorine, CO2, acetylene, ethylene, methane, propane, SO3, SO2, natural gas, gas, etc.
THE DYNAMIC ONE
Treating gases, vapours and liquids: adsorbing them reversibly, separating them selectively, and cleaning and drying them.
At HYYON, crystalline, highly porous molecular sieves are available in two different forms: the 3Å-molecular sieve containing potassium aluminosilicate and the 4Å-molecular sieve made of sodium aluminosilicate. Their special crystal lattice contains absolutely identical, spherical cavities that enable gases, vapours and liquids to be reversibly absorbed or selectively separated. The cavities are inter-connected by channels with pores sized 3 to 4Å. High adsorption bonding results from a large internal surface area of 600-700m2 /g as well as from the polar properties of the sieve structure. Functioning as a filter, the lattice will only let molecules pass through that are smaller than the pores.
OUR molecular sieves remove traces of impurities in gases, vapours and liquids and help to achieve high degrees of purity as well as very low dewpoints. They are essential for producing insulating glass and removing water from coolants. A decisive feature is their high adsorption capacity at higher temperatures up to 60℃.
Their beaded form (standard grain size is 0.7 to 2.0 mm) guarantees high crush strength, low wear and low flow resistance. The molecular sieves are available in units of 25 kg, 125 kg and 600 kg (only 3Å).
3Å molecular sieves are mainly used to adsorb water molecules. Used in petroleum cracking gas, unsaturated hydrocarbons, ethylene, acetylene, Butadiene, refrigerants drying, in medical, food, hollow glass and other industries as excellent desiccant.
4Å molecular sieves are mainly used for static dehydration in closed gas or liquid systems. It can remove water, methanol, ethanol, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, ethylene, propylene and other molecules, and can also be used for drying saturated hydrocarbon materials.
5Å molecular sieves are widely used in the separation process of isoalkane, especially in natural gas drying desulfurization, CO2, air purification deH2O and CO2, in pressure swing adsorption system.
13x molecular sieves are used for air purification and removal of H2O and CO2, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and dry desulfurization of liquid hydrocarbons.
Regeneration:
nitrogen, air, hydrogen and saturated hydrogen carbide are commonly used in dry gases. The reproducing gas is about 0.20-1.2m3/hkg, heated to 200 °C-350 °C, the outlet temperature is about 150 °C for 3-4 hours, and then the regenerated dry cold gas is cooled to room temperature and set aside for use.
